Easy maintenance

Aluminium is strong and lightweight at the same time. Unlike wood, it requires little maintenance. Aluminium, for example, never needs painting, is not subject to UV radiation fading and is fireproof.

How do I maintain my Cladix?

First Maintenance

After installing your cladding, some initial maintenance is necessary. Besides installing our cladding, did the project include any other renovations? Then we recommend using a cement slurry stain remover.

Please note: It is important to properly protect all materials that are not acid-resistant while using cement and slurry stain removers. Also make sure the product does not come into contact with your skin.

Low-maintenance, not maintenance-free

We recommend cleaning Cladix regularly with water and a damp cloth.

Annual maintenance is a good idea, fortunately it does not involve much. With a cleaner and protector product, your cladding will soon be like new again. Avoid abrasive materials that would damage the aluminium surface. For the best results, use a soft sponge.

Tips:

  • Make sure you always pre-rinse the cladding with water to remove loose dirt.
  • Rinse with clean cold water to remove all residual detergent.

The influence of sunlight

Although aluminium is naturally durable and weather-resistant, prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause slight discolouration. This is a natural ageing process in which the amount of gloss of the powder coating may decrease.

You can slow this process down by periodically treating the cladding with a UV and dirt protector.

Deep Damage to Coating

Is the coating of the facade cladding damaged and does it need to be touched up in places? Ask for Cladix Touch-Up Spray from a member of staff at your point of sale. This spray can be used to retouch damage to the cladding.
